- The money we make from these tournaments is our main source of fundraising that allows us to keep registration fees down and to purchase and maintain our equipment.
- ERYSA does not have paid coaches at this level to keep the registration cost down. This is accomplished by some of our parents using their volunteer hours to coach.
- 8U needs (4) coaches per team
*8 hours of volunteer time, per daughter in this age group, working at ERYSA hosted tournaments.(Max per family is 16 hours)
- A $400.00 volunteer deposit check is due at tryouts.

FUNDRAISER
2026 8U Summer
The objective of this league is to provide a fun opportunity for girls to learn the fundamentals of fastpitch softball (e.g. throwing, hitting, fielding, and the value of teamwork and sportsmanship).
Our focus for travel ball is to play competitive softball with a focus on player engagement, development and teamwork while fostering a passion for the game.
- Season typically runs late/mid April-end of June.
Practices
- Will be determined by the coach's schedule and the field availability. (most practices are held in Elk River, but depending on field availability we may need to travel to Nowthen.)
-During April/the beginning part of the season we rely on field house availability.
-- These days and times are not always consistent, but we do try to keep them as similar from week to week as we can.
- During May-July practices are typically Mondays after we move outside for the season.
Games
- Typically Wednesdays
- Games will consist of 7 innings or 65 minutes (whichever is less).
-- With 8u now being part of the big west they also have an option to play an extra inning with kid pitch, if both team coaches agree to ahead of the game.
